ForwardChat by Forward Genix (FGX Technologies PLT) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our website, services, and products. By using ForwardChat, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

  • WhatsApp messages sent to businesses using ForwardChat
  • Business configuration data (menus, operating hours, FAQ, and similar settings)
  • Contact form submissions (name, business name, phone number, email address)
  • Website analytics (via Google Analytics — anonymized and aggregated)
  • Dashboard usage data (login times, feature usage patterns)

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

  • Provide the ForwardChat service, including processing WhatsApp messages with AI
  • Improve our AI's response quality and overall service reliability
  • Send service-related communications and updates
  • Respond to contact form enquiries

We do NOT sell your data to third parties.

4. Data Storage & Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard protections:

  • Data stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers
  • 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit
  • AES-256 encryption for all data at rest
  • Access controls and authentication mechanisms for all systems
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments

5. Third-Party Services

We work with the following third-party service providers to deliver ForwardChat:

  • Meta / WhatsApp — for WhatsApp Business API integration. Messages pass through Meta's infrastructure.
  • Anthropic — for AI message processing. Message content is sent to Claude AI for generating responses.
  • Amazon Web Services — for hosting and data storage.
  • Google Analytics — for anonymized website analytics.
  • Formspree — for contact form processing.

6. Data Retention

  • Conversation data: stored for 90 days by default, configurable per business
  • Business configuration: stored as long as the account is active
  • Contact form data: stored for 12 months
  • Analytics data: as per Google Analytics retention settings

7. Your Rights (PDPA — Malaysia Personal Data Protection Act 2010)

Under the Malaysia Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), you have the following rights:

  • Right to access your personal data
  • Right to correct inaccurate data
  • Right to withdraw consent for data processing
  • Right to request data deletion
