Every WhatsApp Lead, Straight Into Your Google Sheet
Most small teams in Malaysia run their whole sales tracking on one shared Google Sheet. The boss watches it on his phone, the admin keys in new enquiries, and the salespeople check it before they call anyone back. It is messy, it is familiar, and it works.
The problem is the gap between WhatsApp and that Sheet. A lead messages in, the AI handles the chat nicely, but then someone still has to scroll back through the inbox, copy the name and number, and paste it into the right row. On a busy day that step gets skipped, and a real customer goes cold.
ForwardChat already does automatic WhatsApp lead capture. Google Sheets Sync, included in the Growth and Pro plans, closes the last gap. Every lead the AI captures gets written into your own Google Sheet as a new row, by itself, in real time. No Zapier, no Make, no manual CSV export.
How it actually works
Here is the part people expect to be complicated, and it is not.
You share your Google Sheet with our service account email address. That is the normal Google "Share" button, the same one you use to share a Sheet with a colleague. Give it edit access, and you are done.
There is no Google login handover, no OAuth dance, and you never give us your Google password. You stay the owner of the Sheet the whole time. We are just one more editor on a Sheet you control.
Want to switch it off? Un-share the Sheet. The moment you remove our service account, the writing stops. You are always in control, and you never have to call anyone to "disconnect" anything.
What lands in the row
When the AI finishes capturing a lead, it knows three things: who the person is, how to reach them, and what they came for. Those become the columns in your Sheet, so a fresh row might read something like name, phone, and the intent the customer expressed in their own words.
Because it is your own Sheet, you decide what to do next. Build your own filters, pivot tables, formulas, and colour rules on top. Add a "Status" column, a "Follow up by" date, a dropdown for which salesperson owns the lead. ForwardChat writes the lead in. The rest of the Sheet stays yours to shape the way your business already works.
See it happen
Here is a normal enquiry coming through WhatsApp. The AI does the talking and quietly collects what it needs.
Customer: Hi, ada stock untuk sofa L-shape warna grey?
AI: Ada kak! Untuk L-shape grey kami ada beberapa pilihan. Boleh saya dapatkan nama akak dulu?
Customer: Nama saya Farah
AI: Noted, Farah. Nombor ni ok untuk team kami follow up dengan harga dan gambar?
Customer: Ok boleh, ni nombor saya 012-345 6789
Seconds after that last message, a new row appears in the boss's Google Sheet: Farah, 012-345 6789, and a note that she wants an L-shape sofa in grey. Nobody typed it in. The salesperson sees it, picks up the phone, and calls back while Farah is still thinking about that sofa.
Why teams feel the difference
It is not about fancy dashboards. It is about three small things that add up.
Your team calls back faster, because the lead is sitting in the Sheet they already keep open, not buried in a thread.
Nobody re-keys data by hand, so the name and number are exactly what the customer typed, with no typos and no "I will do it later" that never happens.
No leads go missing in a busy inbox, because every captured lead has a home outside WhatsApp the instant it is captured.
Getting started
If your team already runs on a shared Google Sheet, this is the smallest change with the biggest payoff. Turn on Google Sheets Sync, share one Sheet, and your WhatsApp leads start filling it on their own.
Have a look at pricing to add it to your plan, or book a demo and we will show you a live lead landing in a Sheet in real time. Your inbox stays busy. Your follow-up finally keeps up.
